# Template directory

> Every Meta template in one list: copy templates by ad format, the six Meta Commerce catalog feeds, and the audience file. Use it to find the right template without opening the Templates tab.

A template is a blank sheet you copy and fill in. Everything on this page is one of those. The briefs and concepts pages at the bottom hold the reasoning behind what goes in them.

## Copy templates

One filled template is one ad. Each holds the field structure and character limits for a single format; the words come from the [copy brief](/copy-brief).

Read [Meta Commerce catalog templates](/meta-commerce-overview) first to confirm which catalog type your inventory belongs to. The type sets the required fields, and changing it later means rebuilding the feed.
