# Template directory

> Every organic social template in one list, plus the shared templates and registers a post depends on. Use it to find the right template without opening the Templates tab.

A template is a blank sheet you copy and fill in. Everything on this page is one of those. The briefs and process pages at the bottom hold the reasoning behind what goes in them.

## Copy templates

One filled template is one post. It holds the field structure and limits; the words come from the [copy brief](/copy-brief).

| Format | Template |
| :----------------------------- | :------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Any organic post, any platform | [Organic social copy template](/organic-social-copy-template) |

One template covers every platform, because the fields are the same and only the limits change. It carries the caption, hashtag, and alt text ceilings per platform, the truncation point that matters more than the ceiling, and which link placements are actually clickable where.

## Planning

| Document | Use it for |
| :------------------------------------ | :--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| [Content calendar](/content-calendar) | The columns, statuses, and owner per row. It lives in your scheduling tool or database, filled to this standard. |

## Templates that apply on every platform

## Not templates

These get filled in too. They hold the decisions and the checks, and the templates above hold the finished artifact:

* [Organic social post brief](/organic-social-post-brief) What the post is for, the hook, the creative, and what it links to.
* [Pre-publish checklist](/organic-social-pre-publish-checklist) Alt text, captions, link tagging, and approvals.
* [Organic social post process](/organic-social-post-process) The order the work happens in, for a single post and a recurring series.
* [Organic social creative specs](/organic-social-creative-specs) The grid crop and the organic-only constraints.

## Related resources

* [**Organic social**](/organic-social-home) The channel home.
* [**Brand voice and tone**](/brand-voice-and-tone) Section A, which decides how much personality organic gets.
* [**Messaging**](/messaging) The message pillar every calendar row references.
* [**UTM standards**](/utm-standards) Tagging bio, post, and story links.
